The Woodcreek Jr. Timberwolves (WJT) Football and Cheer Board of Directors is proud to announce our new and improved Academic All-American Awards. The Academic All-American Awards is an award presented to qualified student athletes who have demonstrated superior academic prowess while participating in the Woodcreek Jr. Timberwolves Program.


Simple Process!

This year we have made our application process simpler with the goal of recognizing athletes for their hard work of maintaining outstanding academics during the season. The ESSAY portion of the application is now optional. All athletes need to do to be recognized with an AAA award is submit attached cover letter and a copy of their FIRST TRIMESTER report card that identifies grades reflective of the 2017 season. Only grades from the first trimester of 2017 will be accepted for this award. All approved applicants will receive an Academic All-American sweatshirt for their accomplishments and will be recognized at our 2018 Opening Day celebration. Applicants must select either a Graded Award or Ungraded Award.

Graded Award Criteria:

Gold Award3.67 - 4.0
Silver Award3.34 - 3.66
Bronze Award3.0 - 3.33






Ungraded Awards:

To be considered for an Ungraded Award participants must submit a report card containing non-letter grades such as:

O - Outstanding S - Satisfactory

*Due to inconsistencies between area elementary school grading scales applicants must submit a brief statement that the student's grades are of 3.0 or higher signed by their teacher.


Optional Essay Contest:

This year's essay portion of the application is optional. If your athlete would like to be entered into our essay contest please attach the following:

150 word essay for Ungraded Awards
250 word essay for Graded Awards

The essay should describe their favorite WJT moment. Winners will be selected in the four categories (3) Graded Awards and (1) Ungraded Awards. Essay winners will have their essays posted on the WJT website and will also be presented with a special award at the AAA ceremony to be scheduled Opening Day 2018.


Award Deadline - March 15, 2018

All applications must be postmarked by this date. No late applications will be accepted. Also again please note that to be considered grade reports must be reflective of the 2017 season.
